Ein sehenswerter Film des vor wenigen Tagen verstorbenen Robert Altman. Die chandlersche Story rund um Detektiv Phil Marlowe gerät schnell in den Hintergrund, ist eigentlich nur Beiwerk bei einem Film bei dem Elliott Gould sein ganzes schauspielerisches Talent und seine Coolness zeigen darf. Ein Film, der strotzt vor ironischen Brechungen, eigentlich unnötigen, aber wundervollen Nebenkriegsschauplätzen, einer Menge Humor sowohl bei den Dialogen als auch in den Szenarios. Zudem gibt es eine exzellente Kamerarbeit.

Mal wieder Lust auf einen dreckigen Italo-Western gehabt und als "Keoma"-Fan wurde mir dafür dieser hier sehr empfohlen und die Empfehlung traf voll ins Schwarze. Dieser pessimistische Spätwestern ist vom Stil stark an "Keoma" angelehnt, sehr brutal und kann mit einer überzeugenden Geschichte aufwarten. Interessant auch das Setting inmitten lauter Nebel und Dunstschwaden. Nur Maurizio Merli, der Hauptdarsteller, hat mir am Anfang nicht so gut gefallen.

Die Ankündigungen der Kinoverleiher der letzten Tage haben gleich zwei große Ärgernisse für mich bereit gehalten.

Eine Geschmacklosigkeit ist der neue Titel des letzten Films des kürzlich verstorbenen Regisseurs Robert Altman. A Prairie Home Companion wird in Deutschland "Robert Altman's Last Radioshow" heißen. Wie man auf so eine selten dämliche Idee kommen kann, will sich mir nicht erschließen und ich hoffe inständig, dass beim Verleih noch jemand auf die Idee kommt den Titel wieder zu ändern. Schlimmer kanns kaum werden.

Der heiß erwartete Tenacious D-Film (siehe auch hier) wird synchronisiert. Und nein nicht nur die Dialoge, auch die Songs. Jaaaa! Richtig gelesen. Auch die Songs! Ich hoffe es verschlägt auch eine O-Ton-Kopie in meine Nähe, wenn nicht werde ich auf ne Import-DVD zurückgreifen...

Wer bitte möchte auch schon diesen Eröffnungssong des Films mit Jack Black, Meat Loaf und Ronnie James Dio auf Deutsch hören?
